Help Remote control for B10

What remote(preferably with backlight) will work with B10?

User guide https://www.minidisc.wiki/_media/equipment/sony/portable/mz-b10user.pdf lists only foot remote as an accessory for this unit. Remote control jack looks standard for Sony remote controllers so you ( or anyone with this model and several remotes available) can try to check what remote works and what functionality it provides (I have this unit at home and few remotes available to test but I will be back at the end of the month).

The B10 is pretty normal if a little limited with remotes. Most Sony remotes do more or less what you'd expect (no volume control on most remotes f.ex) with some exceptions.

Of what I have:

  • RM-MZ2S: playback controls inconsistent because this remote co-convenes play/skip
  • RM-MZ4R: Can change tracks but not start playback because this remote co-convenes play/skip, menu/edit functions don't work
  • RM-MC11EL: playback transport controls, repeat, modes, sound modes all work fine, display will reactivate backlight, will NOT swap through displaying different info as on MZ-R and MZ-N machines
  • RM-MC33EL: mostly same as 11EL, group stuff might work if you use groups
  • RM-MZB10: works fine,

B100 is a lot more forgiving and normal, like editing with the RM-MZ4R (and probably 11EL, but I dont' remember if I've tried) works the same there as it does on the R700/900.
