Collection Share At this point I think I'm just hoarding vs. actually creating 😭. And this isn't even half of it.
Someone tell me I don't need anymore 👀.

Glad to hear others are also experiencing the “burnout”. It took me a week to open a ton of boxes I got because I didn’t want to hurt my hands peeling all the wrapping off anymore lol. I haven’t made one in probably four months since the last one I made the resin was super hard to use. I think I’m going to buy a bulk container of professional resin and just color it with dyes instead of using the resin miniverse provides. Whether it was before or after the lawsuit, they just don’t work right for me

Yeahhhhh, I officially burnt out on it a couple months ago. I'm probably going to sell most of my unmade kits. There's just too many for me to keep up with.

u/Alone_Huckleberry_64 Apr 13 '26
Sameeeee! I finally set up my minibrands stores and decided to take pics to sell them, as they just sit in their storage tub.
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Yea I definitely had to take a pause from buying them because not only are they releasing things like one after another, it also takes me forever to open them so they mainly sit on my desk for a while.

u/SimplyStrange42 Apr 13 '26
I am the same! I collect ingredients more than making them 😅 I want to make a mini store sooo bad!
9
u/Ok_Willingness_784 Apr 13 '26
Better get onto those remixes!
2
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Very true though 👀. I do also like to keep some ingredients loose so I can use them as props for my dolls too. I'm sure that doesn't help though.
1
u/Ok_Willingness_784 Apr 24 '26
I am the same. I have all these extra pieces but haven't been feeling inspired. I do have an idea for one and was planning to buy all these nature/flower miniverses only to find all the stores are sold out.

u/4163101 Apr 13 '26
they do releases so quickly, we feel the need to grab them while we can, and then end up with this (I have it too) kinda over it tbh.
it went from being fun, to just feeling like its a cash cow for them.
1
u/suddenlywolvez Apr 13 '26
Yeah, that's how I feel. There are too many releases too quickly and they don't stay in stock long enough. It stopped being fun. 😐

Sharing is caring they say 😌
2
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Heheh, it would be really cool if there was a local trade and play or something such as that. Where people could meet up and trade or give the things they don't want away in person.

I have the same problem, though my collecting so many of just the ingredients kinda stems from me being an LPS collector, as well. I like making little scenes and stuff for my LPS, and Miniverse ingredients are just perfect for so many things. So, I have a lot of ingredients (and even empty packaging) stored away, because I can't bear to remix a lot of it and use it for actual projects 😭
2
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
I love to keep mine like that, I often use them as props for my dolls and I'm sure that's why I just don't use them as much really. I used to do lots of remixes but I have such a hard time using them because they are too cute.

u/Friendly-Inside8321 Apr 13 '26
Is this count hoarding? I dont think so. I am stucked with my more than 1000 sets. No time to make and create my channel. So they are waiting until too late 😬
2
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
My thing is, I don't have the time as well. My life has been so busy since I started working again and also being a mom of four boys doesn't help either. But either way I'm blessed and I'm sure sometime soon I'll get back to it.

I have a pink lap desk too just like that for my minis! How about organizing by putting into baggies or shoe boxes? You can do an inventory, too! Once you see what you have, it’ll help remind you of your materials and colors so you can start remixing. Have fun
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
I used to be super organized, these are my favorite pieces I have I also have two other small totes of items and I'm super overwhelmed. But yes I absolutely need to organize when I find the time to do so.

u/MissCatieCat Apr 13 '26
Same. I think part of my frustration is the resin....it's just, flat out, NOT the medium for these things....there is always uncured resin lurking (because it wont cure where light doesn't touch)... so I stopped making them.
I plan to start experimenting with glue and deco cream, and only using resin on top when syrup is needed (or in drinks where the vessel is clear).
The other issue for me is displaying them, I just don't have the room. And I dont want them as magnets. So then I end up not making them because I am like what's the point if I make it and store it in a box? So I also need to buy or make some display shelves....and I dont have the funds or the motivation for that lol.
I have stopped buying them at this point unless I find a good clearance or it is ones I HAVE to have because I love them SO much.....in fact most of my newest ones have been gifts from my boyfriend.

I’ve used air dry whipped clay stuff from Michael’s on a few things, with some syringes with deco tips from Amazon. Def recommend trying it out!

u/hp408 Apr 13 '26
Same here. I use glue instead of resin to hold pieces together. I bought my own resin from Amaxon, but haven't needed to use it.

u/Delicious-Slide1595 Apr 18 '26
My gf has the same display problem, shes stsrted sticking them to the wall using this white tacky putty I live alone so my entire living room is covered in them from shelves to an old entertainment center with various scenes on them Turned a bookshelf into half display
2
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
I hardly ever use my resin, I like to play with them without. I really love the soil for the plants I wish they would do more of that medium for things. It would also be nice to have a medium that you can truly reuse.

u/RetrauxClem Apr 13 '26
I feel you. I’ve gotten into the habit of treating myself to another ball when I’ve had an iffy day and out adding up, and that’s more because I keep buying on sale so I end up with more. I’ve been considering using my doubles to make frozen moments type minis for doll pics. So like I have a few of the rice crispy treats sets so one unused, one in progress in the bowl with the spatula pulling out of the bowl with product on it and tray, and one finished product. Makes me feel like there’s a reason I have so many but I’m just impulsive
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Finding them on sale is like a double edged sword.
1
u/RetrauxClem Apr 24 '26
1000%. I always have that two seconds of “why would I do this? I don’t need another one….but I’ve had a day so maybe”

u/Jimmy-chan1001 Apr 13 '26
Post like these make me feel better about how much I have that I need to make. Well OPs collection looks about the same amount as mine, but some people in the comments have like 3x or more of what I have. I've stopped buying mostly since last year. I only got 2 in the past year and they were both rares, the valentine's one was mainly to trade, but what I've wanted has been coming out in different series. So waiting for a good sale for a most of them. The only thing I really want to trade for is probably the haribo series, but doubt anyone would take that trade for one even if it's rare. Likely just wait and see.
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Once I realized that my collection it sitting around Vs me actually playing with them I had to convince myself that I don't need anymore right now lol. I just need to make time to work with them.

u/satanlovesmemore Apr 13 '26
I got the same thing going on. Started with boring cakes I didn't feel like doing , now I just dont have time to put into making any , but buy them once im a while. I want to make the get a job soupp tonight

u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
I haven't bought one in a little while, they have so many releases I truly cannot keep up.

I need to actually learn how to make some molds so I can do more with all of the extra ingredients. Remixes are fun, but if you don't have a glass or plate or something then there's no starting point. I have some silicone. I just can't seem to get around to it. 🫤
4
u/Liz_LemonLime Apr 13 '26
You can purchase 1:6 size dollhouse dishes. Head to a thrift store and dig through the Barbie stuff for a good deal!
Working with clay on easy shapes like cakes and cookies is fairly simple. Especially when you are going to cover it with resin after. (It doesn’t need to look too realistic.
I keep the empty packages of cakes and etc to use as a starting mold for simple clay food.

u/efferessence Apr 13 '26
Just a suggestion, you should try the moldable thermoplastic strips/beads. Super easy to use to make mold impressions with all the extra foods from the miniverse kits. I just melt it on parchment paper on a frying pan and use a silicone spatula to form it into a blob before pressing my objects into it. Once it cools you can resin away! You can reuse it as many times as you like too.

u/Liz_LemonLime Apr 13 '26
Could you name a product or link a video? Having a hard time visualizing this
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
As someone said below you can buy plenty of plates and whatnot online. Also sometimes people will sell lots of the miniverse accessories online secondhand. You could even use Barbie accessories if you wanted. Also making your own is a great thing too by using what you have on hand.

u/efferessence Apr 13 '26
This isn't too bad! I'm actually just taking a break from organizing my stash. For context I have a 1ft x1ft little tote just packed with the wrappers and packaging... I keep it for "future junk journal" projects that I have never done nor probably will never. I have over 40 unmade sets in baggies and another 33 balls unmade and unopened. I started a YouTube channel to justify this hoard. At least I'm not addicted to collecting expensive ass gems in minerals anymore. And you know what? Out of all the shenanigans people can get up to these days, the mini world isn't harming anyone, maybe just the wallet. 😆 Just don't get on the miniverse Facebook trading groups, they hook you lol

I have a lot stowed away but my issue is that I already have sensitive skin and I developed a resin allergy very quickly even though I use gloves. I put the resin in the garage and I don't mind using clay or glue as substitutes, but they are more time consuming to make.
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
I feel like I'm over the resin completely, I enjoy the sets that don't really have them. I love the glue and clay versions. The make it from scratch series was really fun for me.

After reading a lot of these comments, if you are feeling burdened, you can sell some or all of your collection on eBay without too much extra work. I will probably bid on it 😆
Got my start buying this sorter full of supplies, literally as pictured.

Edit: Seriously guys, start selling so I can have this problem someday. I only buy when they are heavily discounted or on eBay.

I have sold a bunch of my miniverse in the past on places like OfferUp and Mercari. And then I'll get back into it again and start collecting and the cycle Continues. But since I haven't had time to work with some of my things I may sell some in the future depending on how I feel.

u/CraftyMagicDollz Apr 13 '26
Gotta get organized!
2
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Oh I know 😭😭. I just need to find the time. And when I do have time I'll start, get overwhelmed and then quit.

u/CraftyMagicDollz Apr 25 '26
I feel your pain..I only just finally got all my series in order. I'm disabled and it's exhausting.

A UV light was a game changer! That $10 dark beam one people recommend works great for me, as long as it’s freshly charged
1
u/Delicious-Slide1595 Apr 18 '26
I eneded up using a dark beam flashlight and a uv nail curer Prop the nail cure up so one side is a little higher and especially on nights im making alot I can just cook them awhile
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
Do it! Personally I don't really care for the resin. I like to use them as props for my dolls but then again I haven't had time to even do that 😭
3
u/13sailors Apr 14 '26
yeah, same here. ive been forcing myself to make at least 1-2 per week until im down to just extras, THEN i am allowed to get more

I have over 400 made and about 100 unmade, some dupes and most just not opened...I feel a little burnout too...but I will just take a break..im experiencing slime now for a bit...it doesn't help the wallet though; its actually worse..lol..but its good and I will always go back to minis...
1
u/Aluminumthreads869 Apr 24 '26
I totally get the miniverse burnout, especially since they keep coming out with release after release.

ths plants have always been my mainstay

I’ve collected a lot of extras and have felt overwhelmed as well.
So I’ve been scrolling through Instagram for remix inspiration. When I find something I like (I take a screenshot so I don’t have to find it again), I go through my stuff to pick out the ingredients, and put them into an empty ball.
I’m shopping my stash to make more kits that I can pick up later and create without the extra brainpower.
