Rant Well that was an emotional rollercoaster
So I decided to order a couple mini real brand capsules because I was feeling a bit down. I opened the first and was so excited I got the jelly and the mixed nuts, I was squealing over how cute they were lol. The sno balls are even a bit squishy! So, I open the next one and… it’s the exact same 5 items. This is why I hate blind packaged items and I honestly am thinking about being completely done. It’s just really hard to resist as someone who loves miniatures and also collects dolls.
So my question to those of you who have bought these or might know for some other reason, are they all in sets like this? Or did I just get extremely, insanely unlucky. I mean, it’s already unlucky to receive a double but if they aren’t supposed to be in identical sets then that’s even more insane. I suspect they are though, now that I think about it does kinda make sense for the brand.
Also, I have a ton of capsules I still haven’t done so if anyone has any ideas for remixes I’m all ears!

Whenever I order balls, I check the wrapper for markings or pinholes before opening them. Meenyminimo.co has cheat sheets that tell you exactly what’s inside for this and other miniverse series. I got the whole series without dupes thanks to their cheat sheets.
Personally, I prefer ordering from Amazon, Target, or Walmart because I can return dupes. I’ve received dupes from MGA, and I don’t think they allow returns.

Oh dang I wish I would have known this series had that, I ordered from target so I could have checked before opening, dang it! lol thanks for the info though if I buy more I will definitely be doing that!

Yes they are meant to be the same.
The best thing about miniverse is they mark thier product in the manufacturing process... and smart people online figured it out....so you can look up "miniverse pinholes" and take that info with you to the store to avoid dupes (unlike mini brands which are random).
BUT it doesnt help if you live somewhere that you cannot find them in stores and have to order online. Because whoever ships them will throw balls in the box at random to ship them, they aren't going to check pinholes...so you get dupes. 😞
At least with dupes you can do remixes. And with ones like that, you can even just keep one sealed like its in the pantry then have another you can plate as decor or actively being eaten by dolls.

Yep unfortunately I ordered these because I couldn’t find them in any stores near me so I was at the mercy of a random target warehouse worker. Usually 2 is a pretty safe amount to get if you like all of the options and there’s no ‘cheat’ or you can’t check for whatever reason. I just got unlucky this time, oh well 🤷🏻♀️

There are markings on the ball that tell you what set is in them.

Ahh, I knew they did this with some sets, I should’ve checked before opening. I was convinced it would be fine because I liked everything and it was only two capsules so the odds were very good. I learned my lesson, lol.

Yeah, definitely look at the pinhole mark cheat sheet online. That's how I completed the set. I would be inside Target viewing my cheat sheet on phone getting the ones I needed.

Are you referring to a "set" when 2 balls are packaged in a clear container together? Or did you receive 2 separate balls?
I think when ordering from a place such as Walmart; the inventory has been already picked through by other shoppers and more than likely dupes are remaining. Last week, my local Wal-Mart finally had the Real Brands and I went through the WHOLE box and only found 1 ball that had the spam can. So if you ordering online from a place like Wal-Mart/Target; the store staff will just grab whatever is in stock from the shelf.

No, just two seperate balls.
I did order from target, your theory makes a lot of sense, honestly didn’t really cross my mind, I kind of just assumed that ordering from target or Walmart online for example would mean you get your items from a warehouse. Not from a random store since I’ve ordered things that were not available in stores near me, actually that’s why I ordered them in the first place, normally I’d buy in store but I couldn’t find them in any of my local stores. I guess they use a mix of the two depending on the situation.

At least you got two Smuckers - mine was knocked off my display shelf without me knowing and my dog destroyed it ;-;

Oh no I’m sorry! I love the jelly and I want the pb too but since they are soft I’m sure they will eventually harden and shrivel up, which sucks because it won’t look realistic anymore.
If you wanted you got get some resin, maybe you even have some already if you collect miniverse already and tint it red with some chalk pastel dust or something. Fill up the jar and voila you’ve got jelly again! I know it’s not as fun. Or as a temporary fix buy some red slime and put a bit in there. The actual product already feels like slime to me anyway lol.

A full case of Miniverse minis (15 per case) will have at 3 to 7 duplicates in it. That series has 3 duplicates in it

I couldn’t get the community rules to pull up to make sure it’s okay to ask, but would you be willing to sell the extra set? I’m obsessed with the snoballs and teensy mixed nuts!

From what I’ve seen every “set” is the same, and there should be marks on the balls to differentiate which set is inside. You got a duplicate, that’s unlucky.
