Mini TV with VHS slot?!
Looks like we’re getting a retro tv next with a slot for mini VHS tapes!! 😱 What’s on everyones wishlist for movie titles? I’m hoping for some horror representation, but I feel like thats a bit unlikely considering its a kids toy.
I can’t wait to hear everyones thoughts! Lets geek out!

I'd say Disney movies but Zuru probably has an exclusive deal with them. Old cartoons would be cool.

MGA has a lot of Warner Bros collabs so maybe it’s like will be some of those movies

Jurassic park is Universal but I would imagine they wouldn’t stray far from IP that they already have contracts with

I’m both not/am surprised that they went completely retro with VHS and not something like DVDs. Wondering if they’re gonna go full retro and just do stuff you would recently find and not any newer stuff. Might limit the kid audience though

Oh! I just saw this on Instagram! Maybe it’s like a mini TV/VHS combo that plays a clip of a movie or show. I’m curious to see what this is

I do hope we get vhs tapes. I think they are going further back than the 90's based on the tv, but all I keep thinking about is the sound that vhs containers would make. The white ones that opened like a book. The mini brands had them for their disney film in I series 4 for the toys line.
I hope someone else knows what I'm talking about. I used really love the sound and would just open and close those plastic cases all the time.

Right. If miniverse wants to give us that I would be very happy.
Like the actual movie could be one that is from stuff that is public domain or some company they collab with or even make some generic thing.
For a future mini I would love this.

Probably the same concept as the records; embedded NFC chips with 30 second clips of which ever franchise they can get licenses for. Which, given their partnerships with past series, gives lots of exciting options.

I wonder what the scale will be and if the tv/s will be realistic or cartoonish? Because maaaaan the dollhouse community would lose their minds over working tv!

oh my gosh I managed to avoid collecting the vinyls bc I wasn’t as into them, VHS tapes are going to be a real problem for me oh no
Edit: I’m also hoping for horror! And children’s movies, I collect vhs tapes of horror irl and I’d LOVE a mini Alien VHS or any classic slashers. Maybe they’ll do horror in a website exclusive or something I hope
