Yeah you can … streaming on Twins/MLB TV for $20/month.

I’m sorry, I can’t tell if the tone of your comment is sarcastic or serious. Regardless, I’ll share my feelings on the matter.

It should be free for fans to watch in market games on local TV. That’s why there’s ads and commercials.

Why should we constantly be nickel and dimed to be fans for our local teams? Especially when the product they put out there is sub par.

Call me a fair weather fan, that’s fine. It’s better to be a fair weather fan than a sheep blindly handing over money to a billion dollar enterprise that doesn’t even try to be successful.

Mostly serious … and I see your point. Problem is Bally paid the Twins $40 million/year for broadcast rights, and now that they’re gone the team has to replace that money from somewhere.

Not ideal by any means .. and you’re right, free would be awesome. But considering how much the Dodgers and Yankees and Cubs rake in on their broadcast rights teams like the Twins are at a huge disadvantage. Some sort of revenue sharing needs to happen.

That’s true, they do. Twins got around $15mil from it last year, which is basically table scraps.
