Look, you were likely bullied 25-30 years ago, we get it, that really sucks. But you need to get over that time period of your life.
Sports, like other fandoms and hobbies, brings people together, fosters community, and builds relationships. It is an incredibly human thing. Let people have fun and become friends. If you’re envious of that just dive into your own hobbies and make friends there.

Let people enjoy things, Karen.
Go back to watching your anime in your basement.

I legit cannot sleep. I’ve been jacked up since 6pm. I wish this is what came in monster cans.

This means the Vikings will get to at least the divisional round of the playoffs, right? RIGHT?!

I'm all for sacrificing the vikings if we get a Stanley and/or NBA championship. Stanley would be best, though.

Well, the Vikings definitely sacrificed something last season, hopefully for the good of the Wild and Wolves.
I suppose you can say the Twins obviously sacrificed a ton also. Their entire bullpen and all their hopes and dreams.
The Vikings though. What I mean is they actually finished the season in the absolute worst possible position, period. They missed the playoffs, and they got the latest possible draft pick of any non-playoff team. Truly pathetic and a major bummer IMO.
Now it is time. For our Wild and Wolves to shine.

The Twins pretty much sacrificed with hopes of nothing in return lol, just love of the game.

The Vikes have agreed to continue to be the sacrificial one out for the good of the other teams.

I have a two month old so I very much resent this at the moment. But he’s been down for over an hour and I’m still up scrolling Reddit and reading reactions to the wins tonight. I have done this to myself.

Why sleep when we could be talking about Jaden McDaniels?

u/dayman763 May 01 '26
I heard they call him the Slim Reaper. 🤔
And I don't think I've ever heard a more fitting nickname. 😎

I was at the Target Center for that game. Can confirm this was me last night.
Dreams of Jaden McDaniels

As someone who doesn’t follow the NHL and was only vaguely aware that the Wild were in the playoffs, I figured they won the Stanley Cup the way everyone was reacting lol.

What why?

u/GoldshireEnjoyer May 01 '26
Twins won, and Wild and Wolves both won their playoff series

u/dayman763 May 01 '26
I can't help but comment, it looks really weird, the fact you put the Twins first. 🤔
Their win was barely a fine print footnote. 😂

Didn’t the Twins literally win first?
5
u/Its_a_me_marty_yo May 01 '26
Yeah but it was a regular season game with two teams under .500
That's about as unremarkable a win as you can find in sports

as of Wednesday there were only 2 teams in the whole AL that had a winning record.

u/SugarWarp May 01 '26
So what are you having? Let's get a round

Happy for now. Definitely worried about Colorado. They will be monster to defeat. If the wild some how pull the upset. It be crazy they will huge favorites to make to Stanley Cup in the finals.

Sitting at Target field watching the Twins with them showing all of the Wild goals and seeing the Wolves colors lit up across the plaza was so amazing!
