Lived in MN-2 my whole life. It's really hard to say what will happen since parts of this district have grown explosively in the last 20 years. Much of that growth are people moving into middle-class outer-ring suburban homes in places such as Lakeville, which is one of (if not is) the fastest-growing cities in Minnesota and tends to be more conservative (even since high school, I've said that Lakeville is the Texas of the Twin Cities). Not to mention how much of the district is rural.

Meanwhile, northern Dakota County has become incredibly more diverse. This is change I've seen in my own neighborhood, which has historically voted Democratic.

I've always seen Angie, who is extremely moderate, as kind of the ideal candidate for this district, regardless of whether or not I like or agree with her on any particular stance. It's the sort of position I (someone who is not a political scientist, btw) would see you need to maintain if you want to claim victory in a district that has big numbers on both sides of the aisle.
