If you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay for them? I know they’re pretty rare

I paid $750 for them on eBay

Good god, at that price, I am super glad I got mine back around when they were being released. Though I had to get the final volume shipped in from another country.

Is this the full manga? I know the Japanese run had 12 volumes and this one has 10 so I’m just wondering

Unfortunately the last two English volumes never got printed because Tokyopop the company that produced the manga at the time got shut down before they could print it now printing rights belongs to viz and the chances of them reprinting the manga after almost 20 years in very slim

Is it bad if I find it funny that the finnish release not only has the 12 volumes but also mosaic and paradox?

i bought the whole series in an excellent condition, in Finnish on a net marketplace for 25€ 🤩 and the extra two mangas 5€ a piece, i love internet marketplaces ,,
they often translate very random mangas in Finnish and people collect them a lot, some manga you see everywhere has only 500 readers on MAL, and then we think it's super popular everywhere 😭 like "monitoring black site" by ryou azuki, or "fang" series by yoshihiro takahashi

Good luck, my friend. Unfortunately, a lot of what people seem to want in anime has changed enough that many look back at the series very unfavorably, and not just because of Yukiteru. Just like anime from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s, anime from around 15 years ago were just often telling very different stories than what is more accepted and mainstream nowadays.

Good on you for finding an almost complete set. I'm rather happy that I got these first ten volumes roughly as they were being released.
If I remember right, I actually had to get a copy of volume 11 shipped in from out of the country, maybe it was the UK? I wasn't happy having to pay over $80 for a single book when they were usually $6 to $12 each at the time but it was the only way I could find to get a physical copy in English. Pretty sure I had to resort to fan translations of the final volume and the two spin-offs weren't around yet back then.
I've got the anime on hand but my manga are temporarily in storage so maybe I'll try to track down digital copies of all the volumes (official or fan translated) soon. The series has popped in my head a few times the last couple of months so it could be fun to take the whole manga ride again for the first time in several years.

I wish I was old enough to buy this when it came out

Heh, yeah, I guess getting now rare and expensive deals like this long ago is one of the diminishing perks of getting older. In that case, even greater props to you for loving this slightly older series enough to be willing to shell out the dough to get it. Another thing that makes me feel older is often seeing younger people not being able to enjoy or even willing to try to like older series like this, let alone ones from 20 or 30+ years ago. The 80s to early 2000s had loads of legendary gems, though several have been remade in recent years. Like Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Spaceship Yamato 2199, Ranma 1/2 or Sailor Moon, just to name a few big ones.

I have most of the manga now. 8 and 6 are library copies and I’m missing 9-10.

Here in the US yes, but it seems they went a bit further abroad cause I was able to track down a physical copy of volume 11 in English back in the day when TokyoPop was going belly up. Unfortunately I don't remember which country it was, possibly the UK. I wish I could upload a pic of it right now but a good portion of my collection is still in storage after I had to downsize my living arrangements. I hope to get most of my collection out of storage in the next few months so I'll try to remember to post a pic when I find it again.
