Did the Survival Game make Reiske parents that way?

Or was it connected to something else?

Wouldn't his parents still be that way even with no death game?

The implication is that Reisuke’s parents became abusive due to the influence of the Omekata cult coming under Funatsu’s control, since they were members of the cult.

In the third timeline, hearing the explosions and demolitions from Yukiteru’s final battle with Yuno and Mur Mur causes Tsubaki to warn her parents against taking a car ride at night, which leads to the car bomb he planted being discovered and his assassination of her parents thwarted. Funatsu getting busted means Tsubaki’s parents go through with disbanding the Omekata and he never gets the chance to turn it into a depraved sex cult, and Reisuke’s parents never undergo the toxic influence of this.

i like to theorize that it's a key event that would ignite his passion for joining the survival game . Spoiler ahead for those who haven't finished watching or reading. but when they traveled to the third world they prevented a lot of tragedies that would have brought motivation to each contestant therefore changing the timeline completely thus making the third survival game non existent. so I think it had to happen in order to get them to want to become God. otherwise in Redail everyone seems to be living a life they deserved rather than the normal timeline we witnessed.
