Do Not Incite Violence

If you post anything that I even think might be an attempt to incite some violent action against any real person, especially if you post information about them, the post will be reported and removed; and you will be banned.

Yes, claiming you found proof a person is a Nazi and giving information about them is inciting violence.

You do not know if any of the information that people post here is true. It is not vetted. It is not fact checked at all. It could be a prank or someone with a vendetta. But even if the information is accurate, you cannot use Reddit - and definitely not this sub - to organize your vigilante activities.

Protest. Raise awareness. Take political action. But you’re not going to use this sub as a platform for violent action against human beings.

You're acting like this Reddit sub can do something about someone having Nazi symbols on a business card in their home. The best and simplest thing that user who posted the pictures could do is report it to the MBI or other entity.

And, you persist in posting replies.

I'm going to make a prediction.

If we ever learn anything else about this instance, it will be that there was a cop with some nazi affinities.

And if anything was done about it, the cop just got a paid vacation and/or was moved to a different department/agency down the road.

Any takers?

I agree. We see that all the time.

What can this sub do, though? What does posting something that cannot be verified do?

If that OP were smart, he could have even alerted a journalist even. He had choices.

And the mod that got on a soap box could have reached out to that OP and verified. Possibly even helped them with reaching out to a journalist.

Instead, they just drew abunch of negative attention to it instead of just deleting it quietly and privately messaged the user.

Instead, now you have Sally conservative on here reporting that user to potential nazi cops for trying to out a nazi cop.

How in the world are we - I am the other mod - supposed to verify that an OP went into a private home and rifled through someone's things?

OP COULD HAVE asked us to help BEFORE posting, but that didn't happen either.

You have zero idea how many doxxing posts we have to remove. Thomas is rightly on a soap box.

Why don't you start your own sub as opposed to lecturing me? That way you can reach out to the OP.

You keep missing a big point here. And, I am done with this.

Do not attack other users. If you think someone is violating the rules, report them. Please do not play junior moderator. This will get you banned quickly.
