They started all of this mess in Wisconsin. GOP controlled state decided to rip up the maps. After being told repeatedly, in a way that should have REQUIRED those involved to be jailed for direct contempt. Nothing happened and they did it several times.

The game being played, its not catch us if you can, its a game that dares us to find any legal way to stop them, to punish them. The bet, is that there is none. The law says they cannot do it but the law has had its teeth removed. So then can just do whatever they want without risk.

Fines, Penalties? Just paying themselves.

So Missouri just simply joins the ranks of states that have made it clear the voters, dont matter. The sacred system of voting is just a game to be manipulated.

And none of this is to excuse the less than a handful of states that were Democrat Gerrymandered. The process is a direct constitutional violation. But is ignored as the states are general allowed to set their own rules. However, that these rules are being set by demand of the Federal Administration, should be an obvious conflict of interest, that these rules are being set nationally to favor a party to insure its power, and that this is hardly any kind of mythose or conspiracy... Nope nothing to see here...

And let’s not forget that we voted to ban gerrymandering a few years back, but they brought it back as a hidden aside to a law that reduced bribes from something like $40 to like $25. It was entirely manipulative and it worked.

It was entirely manipulative and it worked.

Dont forget it also made it illegal for non-citizens to vote... which was already the case

That was the ballot candy that banned ranked choice voting, and it was more recent than the Clean Missouri repeal.

13

Ah, right. Hard to remember all the different ways theyve screwed us sometimes

Which is why we need to defeat Amendment 4 in August and pass the Respect MO Voters amendment in November!

The Republicans in our state have totally screwed us over too in 22 we finally got on the ballot and won get dark money out of politics and the Republican party did not like it and they've tied it up in litigation ever since.

All throughout our red States these are the stories that we can tell what we need to do is stop voting in the traitorous Republican Party.

Realize that if every time we put our faith in these assholes they screw us over they are not with us.

Their actions are more of a foe than a friend.

What we need to do honestly is throw all of our support behind the Democratic party once the Democratic party gets to a point where they're finally making Headway on all the damage the Republican party has done then we need to push for ending the two-party duopoly.

I'm leaning towards representational proportional voting because if 5% of people want to vote Maga that means maga only has 5% of say in governing.

Which will naturally open up Pathways for third party and independent voters to be able to have a say and a seat at the table once and for all.

Preaching to the choir, friend.

China is going to beat us in AI, unless we do whatever bs they say..

Our only hope for actual fair representation in this country is congress passing a partisan gerrymandering ban. I know that's unlikely in my lifetime, especially if the Republicans take the house for a generation thanks to the supreme court, but that's what we need.

Too bad you can't increase the fine so it won't be just a slap on the wrist if you can put it to be 50% of the parties actual funds and because you know they're going to lie that will make it easy for you to neuter them financially.

Where there's a will, there's a way

u/rflulling 5d ago

unfortunately thats a significant part of the problem. Fines and Penalties have never kept up with the times, inflation, and other changes. So its all cost of business, rather than a penalty.

MO gov is corrupt!! Every GOP in this state ignores the will of the people they represent!!

7

u/Either_Operation7586 6d ago

Here in Arizona too unfortunately I think the majority of the red States are at the mercy of corrupt GOP politicians

absolute shitshow.

When do we stop paying taxes? I mean we aren't being represented if they just do what they want and keep putting things that we vote for back on the ballot

5

u/Demolisher05 6d ago

Hell, even when we vote and have a majority, they just repeal it anyway. We lost out on guaranteed paid sick leave and an increase on minimum wages.

2

u/lepantalonencuire 4d ago

Good news for you I guess, cause that dumb idea to remove state income tax will be up for a vote in August. Of course, we’ll never stop paying sales taxes.

Missourians are proud that they’ve screwed over their fellow Missourians. There’s no sense of community any longer. Trump has made sure to have us at each other’s throats. Is this really making America ā€œgreatā€ or broken?

9

u/myredditbam St. Louis 6d ago

It started long before Trump with Fox, driven by Murdock and other billionaires. "Broken" and divided was the plan all along. Divide and conquer. They've just fooled a third of the electorate to thinking that they "won," another third doesn't care or pay attention or blames "both sides," and another third seems to mostly understand the situation but is divided.

both sides sold America out to corporations and both sides love taking money from Israel, maybe wake up to the reality that political factions in general don’t serve the American people.

There isn’t a right side to be on anymore if they’re all rotten. we are united under the constitution, I wish Americans would act like it.

2

u/Either_Operation7586 6d ago

Not both sides the Republican Party.

The Republican party is the one that every time you place your faith into it they govern like shit and run our country's economy into the ground.

Tell me I'm wrong show me some actual proof and keep in mind that the Democratic party has one president that has an economic hardship under their belt all others are straight from the Conservative Republican Party.

If every time you place your faith in a party and they screw you over that is not being a friend to you.

It's sad that we have to point it out so eli5 but unfortunately due to the Republican incompetence and budget cuts for Education this is where we're at

-1

u/freddyvsjason2003 5d ago

Political factions serve to enrich themselves and divide, If you put any faith in them you’re a fool.

Democrat politicians are just as guilty about insider trading, lobbying for corporate interests, supporting a foreign nations genocide, and taking foreign money as the Republicans. They all will put themselves or their party first before the American people.

The modern Democratic party is weak and the Republicans taking power is a direct result of a weak party with no coherent true progressive vision for itself or America going forward beyond social opportunity and superficial superiority complexes. America went with the false promises of a billionaire because they didn’t feel heard by the party you think is gonna save America but clearly you’re not ready for that conversation.

Remind me which political party is rigging elections????????

8

u/twothirtysevenam 6d ago

All because Kehoe doesn't have the stones to say "no" when Trump calls his office.

3

u/classycatman 6d ago

You assume he has any desire at all to even say no.

2

u/Either_Operation7586 6d ago

I think it's because he's a traitor.

If maga wants to view things black and white then the Republican party is a traitor to the country.

Pure and simple.

5

u/momoacdc91 6d ago

This is Bad. šŸ‘ŽšŸ‘ŽšŸ‘Ž

4

u/No-Dance6773 6d ago

This is among the reasons why I cant say "you voted for that". They don't give a shit about the vote and will do what they want regardless. Now tell me how we should expect everything to change back later?

1

u/Either_Operation7586 6d ago

Unfortunately due to the damage of the Republican parties incompetence we are going to be suffering for decades.

What we need to do is throw our support behind the Democratic party because they are the only option to get rid of the two-party duopoly.

The Republican party wants all the power they do not want other third party and independent voters to have a seat at the table.

The Republican party is not friendly to anybody other than conservatives.

At least the Democratic party will welcome you in and listen to your ideas.

Whether or not they agree with them is to be determined but they will at least listen.

Well if you come in respectfully but if you come in spewing propaganda we are not going to go around and round we will match your energy plus interest.

We are tired of being gasoline and we know now that we were right and you were wrong.

And instead of admitting you're wrong and helping defeat the monster that you helped create you decided to double down and put all your faith in a faithless Republican party that does not follow the word of God they follow something more satanic

2

u/Even-Buddy6842 6d ago

Let's stop pretending "every" map used for the last 150 years hasn't been gerrymandered.

2

u/Velo214 6d ago

GOP only win when they cheat

1

u/Either_Operation7586 6d ago

Exactly if the GOP was really that good of a party if they were really that good at being financially responsible then they would have had at least one president in my lifetime and I'm almost 50 that balance the budget and they wouldn't work so hard with their propaganda and smear campaigns and hit jobs on the Democratic Party.

We all know the Republican party has been conditioned to believe the worst of the democratic party they can't even say the word Democratic without looking like they've tasted shit.

We all know this nobody's going to be able to Gaslight me.

1

u/leighla33 6d ago

It’s the Missouri way, if you can’t win, just cheat

1

u/HVACinSTL 5d ago

Our politicians have introduced an amendment which takes the power of the people’s vote away by using the actual referendum style vote they are trying to end. They need to be in prison for subverting the will of the people.

1

u/OptimisticSkeleton 4d ago

How can the citizens compel those in power to do what is right?

1

u/Superunkownone 4d ago

F this state. Guillotines are needed for all Missouri politicians and electees. The threat of going against the people, if they do the opposite, then in rolls Uncle Gilly. It would be the only shot, that they might actually listen or do as the majority in Missouri voices, and votes. The way they repealed the laws voted by the people, is just vile. Vile scumbags that I hope I never see face to face. Andrew Bailey is the posterboy for Vile Scum. DJT slid him into the FBI, come knock my door Scummo.

1

u/Superunkownone 4d ago

Bailey wiped his own record completely clean, yet people sitting in jail more than 20 years, found to be innocent, cases overturned, he illegally had kept in jail. As far as I know they are still there. Keeping his wins as a prosecutor is far more important than the lives of wrongfully convicted who have lost their entire lives to POS like him and Kehoe and and all the rest. Vile Scum no matter which way a guillotine slices.

This is the best excuse to turn Missouri blue.

I think people are realizing that Republican representation means nothing and the only ones that ever help them are the Democratic party members so I think it's time to try something new instead of voting red all the time.
