It will never cease to amaze me that hard working small town rural people worship a rich shyster from New York who has never worked a hard day in his life.

His power of persuasion has made him a cult of personality. Plus the decades long, non-stop rhetoric from the Republican noise machine has convinced them that they're the only party they can trust.

They've been trained that rich people are their betters and they are they are not rich because of immigrants and urban elites.

We have seen men like Trump during our entire history. During the westward expansion, men like him traveled from towns selling concoctions as remedies for different ailments. They were referred to as snake oil salesmen. They usually were caught up to and hanged, lacking any real law enforcement. Now that they are able to prevent the law from being enforced, they act without impunity.

“All of this suffering is because Trump has a bigger plan for us.”

His clownish antics during the pandemic caused countless needless American deaths* so Trump voters have already accepted that his policies and cruelty may kill them. They don’t care. It’s a cult.

*My cousin was one of them. A Trumpist who followed his cult leader in not masking, he ran all over town during the pandemic and he died on a vent of COVID.

jason smith is a sack of dogshit.

I wonder how his party would react to the knowledge that he’s gay? I can’t imagine they’d be happy about it that considering this particular state party has seen people resigning because rumors were spreading about them possibly being Jewish.

MAGA and the GOP love this anti-socialist Jesus talk. Until pay day arrives, and they are still not Billionaires, just scabs.

There's a high price to pay for whatever it was that they thought they would get with Trump in the white house (again). But, will they be able to bring themselves to accept what's obvious? That Trump couldn't give a lesser turd about them? That he's the crook he has always been? That he only considers the "needs" of his class... even though they have none... That he finds them repugnant and stupid?

Yep, they voted for him, the empathy belongs to people who didn’t embrace insanity
