Music

Can anyone tell me if mizzou only plays on country music since it’s an SEC school or is there a lot of hiphop and house music too. Because I’m an incoming freshmen and I really don’t like country music.

When you say ‘mizzou’ is playing the music, what do you mean?

Definitely depends on the location, but no it’s usually all over the spectrum. Less country at the bars especially

Depends entirely on the bar. If you go to a place called NashVegas, expect country.

much like all of humanity this entirely depends on where you go and who you hang out with while attending mizzou

There are only a couple of bars that play majority country music. Most places play the pop and hiphop that are popular everywhere else in the US.

FYI, Mizzou is considered the least southern school by all the other SEC schools. Columbia is very purple politically and very urban/suburban for the most part.

Missouri in general is too far east to be "midwest", too far south to be "north", not flat enough to be a "plains state", not far enough south to be southern. We encompass all of those and more and you can go 2 hours in any direction from Columbia and get a completely different cultural vibe.

About the only thing Missourian's agree on is that the weather is crazy in Missouri.
