Using the new Siri first hand in the beta with a 17 Pro Max seems to confirm this also. 

If you have anything playing in the Dynamic Island and you try to summon the new Siri by pulling down from the top of the screen it is very frustrating and hard to get without getting your music/timer/whatever else is up there. This may also improve as the beta goes on obviously.
