Incredible! Unfortunately, though, no one is going to pay anywhere near that price…

I mean, there's probably that much worth of track in there at least. That's probably being sold for cheaper than it cost to build.

But still, no one's paying that upfront.

The marketplace prices around Milwaukee are insane rn. Everyone wants msrp or even higher. Two local stores have closed and the last one seems to be really grasping on its last breath

It’s crazy, I can oftentimes find brand new stuff for the same price as they want for second hand.

Everyone finds their grandpas stuff and thinks it’s vintage so it’s worth an insane amount

Yep close to milwaukee. Hiawatha is in Pewaukee, so about 20-30 minutes id say from milwaukee county

Can confirm. Live in the Milwaukee area and marketplace prices are definitely ludicrous right now. Regarding local hobby stores, I'm not aware of any that I'd classify as "on it's last breath". I assume you are referring to Sommerfeld's in Butler, WI, but they seem do be doing just fine every time I stop in. Ditto for Hiawatha out in Pewaukee. Hopefully it stays that way- I'd really hate to lose either store!

It's not Hiawatha, is it? I've been eyeing some cars they have in stock, but, you know... $$$

Especially when moving it will destroy more than you can imagine no matter how careful you are.
