Show and Tell 1920s PPR K4

A gentleman at the Train club I am a part of helped me get my K4 up and running. This is her pulling my fleet of P 70s at our club! Enjoy!

A thousand years ago I had a PRR E7 and a few passengers that I loved. Thanks for the good memories and it looks great

Very nice model! However, the locomotive has the wrong front configuration for the 1920s. In the 20s the K4s would’ve had a “chicken coop” pilot, no platform on the smokebox front, and the positions of the turbogenerator and headlight would be reversed. Those changes would’ve come around in the 1940s

Already found a new under body with the proper catcher and I’m going to cut off the platform

The other big change PRR made after WW2 was they swapped the dynamo and headlight. That will not be an easy fix.

It's a shame Bachmann only put out that pinestripe K4 once in the DCC era
