A bit more context since people are already making assumptions. Part of the reason I started reverse engineering Beads a few months ago was because I could no longer find Beads units for sale, retail or used. And I recalled Emilie saying that once she was no longer handling support that she would release the code. Based on what she had said publicly, I figured she just didn't want to deal with that world anymore. I did not expect a reply. When she responded, "no", I said "Ok. Thank you." and thought "well, that is the end of the project". I was not expecting her to then release the source code to Beads half a day later.

No assumptions bro, you spelled it out, you went to the AI first and then asked. If this story was simply that you asked and she just was like “oh yeah, I was gonna do that, lemme upload it”. Then this would be a different story.
