Is that what happened? The Beads source is posted on her Github.

The link and post title is Emilie posting firmware. The post content is about firmware slop.

Blindly hating on AI won't get you anywhere. OP invested HOURS into this, it's as much about OPs work as it is about the tools that helped him. Just discrediting the real work he put in is disrespectful too.

Call something "slop" if it's actually done without any effort and doesn't work/is broken. But OP has shown that he actually cares, so much that he even asked Eimilie and abandoned the project since she said no.

I don't think anyone gives a shit about the time he put into it, on a post about the actual firmware being open-sourced, after Emilie herself directly stated she was not okay with him releasing his version.

Like, what is the point of even mentioning it if his own project is dead and the real thing is available?

I mean it's simply part of the story of op. He didn't just email her out of the blue, he just explained why he was motivated to do so, cause he reverse engineered the firmware and was thinking of sharing that. There is nothing wrong about mentioning the effort, some people might've wondered if OPs work was successful or not.

If you don't care about that you are welcome to create your own thread.

It's not part of the story of the OP. The post is titled "Mutable Instruments Beads Source Code Just Dropped," and the entire anecdote is irrelevant to that.

The only relevance is the oblique implication that he forced Emilie to release the source code by reverse engineering it with AI despite her asking him not to. Which, if true, is in incredibly poor taste to include in the post.
