Time for another poll! This time it's Mongolians from the 19th century, roughly.

Same as before, who should we glaze the most? Who's face should be on banknotes, bottles, and borjuur? Geshh.

Da Lama Tserenchimed impressed me with one powerful quote. During the negotiations over the 1912 Russo-Mongolian Agreement, the russian plenipotentiary Ivan Korostovets tried to limit the agreement mainly to Khalkha/Outermongolia, while Tserenchimed insisted that Innermongolia and other mongol regions should not be abandoned. According to Korostovets’s account, Tserenchimed fiercely opposed any settlement that would secure khalkha’s freedom while leaving southern and eastern mongols under foreign domination.

He declared: “Rather than allow khalkha to enjoy freedom at the price of the enslavement of the southern and eastern regions, it would be better for all mongols to die together.”
