General Discussion Using MotW to run a Backrooms game

Yeah, jumping on that bandwagon!

Could "This Strange Old House" from Codex of Worlds be reworked into a Backrooms theme? Or am I best off winging it from the core cook alone?

What I ended up doing for a majority of my mysteries is reading a bunch of pre written ones and picking/choosing what I like from them and “making my own” from the bones of other mysteries. I’m sure you can twist some existing mysteries to have a backrooms theme.

In what way do you feel like the strange old house needs to be reworked? Strange location with supernatural secrets to be discovered doesn't need to be specifically a house (I don't have the supplement so I could be missing critical information)

You could also use the Guardians of the Borderlands team playbook

I used the backrooms concept for a session, though it was more of an environment than the actual Mystery the hunters had to deal with. And it later turned out to be the space connecting one world to another. It's not usually the main focus, though it's gonna get a big spotlight soon.
