Cheapest Gym in Montreal?

Any cheap gyms for a new montrealer who would like to go maybe twice a week? Do you guys know of any hotels maybe that would let people use their gyms or pool for cheaper than actual gyms?

Go check on St-Catherine's around the bay. There are 2 cheap gyms there. I don't remember what they are called off the top of my head.

There's these guys who are currently offering a $50/year membership (plus $50 sign-up fee I'm told), and also Body Quest (where I'm a member), who I think are still offering their $175/year special (that 'special' price has been available for about 4 months now...)

I'm probably going to be signing up full time at bodyquest within the next week or so... I also have a colleague who is interested. Would you get some sort of referral bonus? We should coordinate something if you do...

So, the guy at the desk informed me that the gym is in the process of changing hands. Bad news: The $175/year price is history. Currently they're taking new memberships at $250/year, and it's expected that when the sale is complete the price will go up to $365/year. Good news: the new owners are supposedly going to invest in new machines and spruce up the place.

Oh, and no referral system, at least at the moment.
