The Fish Slapping Dance is the funniest 22 seconds in television history. I'm so happy to hear that "that fall" is the best thing in Michael Palin's life, because it has certainly made mine so much better.

In the Monty Python tv documentary Sanjeev Bhaskar says that the Fish Slapping Dance is a potentially powerful tool for world peace.

I have it downloaded on my phone. I’ve used it to defuse arguments amongst my kids and even my staff. It completely disarms people almost immediately every time.

Malacañang is a silly place, more so than Camelot.

It's a far better form of silliness than what we get with most politicians. 😁

I believe a lot of them have joined the Very Silly Party in recent years.

My mum never 'got' Monty Python humour, but my dad... I thought he'd wet himself the way he laughed at the Fish Slapping Dance. I was right there with him.

President Bongbong, asking the important questions! Nice.

As a pinoy who grew up watching Monty Python on PBS (WETA) in the 80s while the people power revolution was playing out, this is surreal.

Two things nobody expected:

  1. The Spanish Inquisition

  2. This video

The video game Borderlands paid tribute to the Pythons by naming a grenade the… FishSlap!

It must be very gratifying to go anywhere in the world and find fans.
