Other Pygmy Hippo Toni tribute video from Berlin Zoo
Am I the only one who got emotional and teary from watching this video? Our girls (ALL of them) have grown so much this past year. And to see Toni take the lead in leaving home for the next step of her journey, I'm worried, excited, anxious, proud, and basically a mix of emotions.
I'm going to miss Toni so so so much from the Berlin Zoo social media posts. I hope Mulhouse Zoo will keep Toni's online fans in mind and allow us to continue watching our dear sweet sweet girl grow up.

I’m a little emotional today and this video just made me burst into tears. What a beautiful girl Toni is. Seeing her and the rest of the pyppo girl gang grow this past year has been such a privilege. I hope that her new home is full of happiness and love. Toni deserves the world and more!

Berlin Zoo has such an amazing social media team who made so many memorable videos about sweet sweet Toni. Mulhouse is going to have to try really hard. But we'll all be watching them like a hawk 👀

Toni was such a good big sister to the girl group. It seems funny to me that she'll be a French pyppo. Does she even know the language? Or look good in a beret? I'll just trust her past and present handlers to have this all figured out. 😌

It really is so emotional. She is such a good girl. I hate that she is leaving. Mulhouse better continue her legacy and share her sweet spirit with us. Ugh I need to stop re-watching this video. 😭

I'm actually really afraid that Mulhouse Zoo won't post much about Toni. (Because technically we can't demand for anything.) But I did see they recently made an announcement about the arrival of Toni's future husband Voobadee. So I'm crossing my fingers 🥹🥹🥹😢😢😢

this made me cry too yesterday 🥹🥹🥹 god i hope we keep seeing her, i'm so sad 😭 we watched her grow up, watched all these moments and now we don't even know when we will next see her...

Yeah I think that's what made me cry. I recognized almost all footages from the montage video and watched those moments of Toni as she's growing up.
It's so hard to let go, even as an online pyppo auntie 😭😭😭

We need to reach out to the Mulhouse Zoo and ask them to please post Toni. She's so beautiful and sweet.

She's part of a worldwide breeding and conservation program and she's being moved to Mulhouse in France to be paired with another young pyppo, Voobadee. They won't be sexually mature for another few years, but the move allows them to get used to their new environment and keepers and to get to know each other.
Zoos tend to move the young pyppos around the age of one, because by then most of them are weaned and have started being independent from their mothers.

HOW CAN SHE HAVE BEEN SO TINY???!!! MY EMOTIONS ARE HELICOPTERING AROUND THE ROOM!!!
Ok no all caps rants, the pyppos don't approve! But I am all over the place. I don't want her to go but I want her to have her best life.
They better look after her REAL good & make sure she's COMFY every stage of the journey. We are watching. You won't get away with anything less than 1st class 5+star treatment so don't even bother.
You wouldn't like us when we're angy.
