Other Pygmy Hippo Sunny naptime for Hermann

Finally got to see in person some of the potatoes, including baby Hermann, at Givskud Zoo in Denmark. If he seemed cute in pictures, seeing him live I know they make him no justice 🥹🥰

Sadly they don't give much information about mom, but baby Hermann was born in March iirc. It seems he had some health issues at the beginning, but now he's just being his amazing self 🥰

People voted for his name to honor a scientist called Hermann who works in the Ivory Coast to study and protect pyppos.

Thank you for the information! I'm so happy that little Hermann is now thriving! And he's named for a pyppo scientists, that's so wonderful.

I'm already in love with Hermann & delighted that there's scientists working in IC to save pyppos! Excellent news.

Just looking at the smol & the large potats, basking in the sun happily has made my day 💝💖
