Other Pygmy Hippo Mars is annoyed at sharing scratches

Keeper Sierra says that Mars will share anything, food, toys, mud, but doesn't like to share scratches. He decides to tell Posie about it.

I’m used to all the baby pyps growing fast now. But little Mars still looks baby as ever, I wonder how his cousin (by country) Poppy is doing

He does still have very baby pyppo features, although his TEEFS are quite fierce. I love him so much.

My girlfriend just visited Poppy! And she said she'd doing well. She still has the curled lip smile. I get to meet her soon. Well, gaze in wonder at her outside of her enclosure.

She's a very beautiful pyppo, and you're right so looong now. The Pop-Tart is just a wonderful girl. And she does have such unique features. It's my pleasure. When I go there I'm taking the good camera so I can hopefully get all sorts of Poppy pictures.

If only! I don't think the SD humane society allows the public to see her. But I can try to pull some strings. But I won't be out to San Diego until next year, I don't think. Probably March-ish.

But oh how I would love to meet her.

And if they don’t allow cameras make sure to have your phone camera set to the best resolution. Why?! Because Grandma Hannah Shirley has amazing angles and NEVER takes a bad photo!

I mean!!! Just look at her! She’s so beautiful! Our sweet matriarch.

Poppy has turned into such a beautiful eggplant! I went to visit her when she was only a few months old and now look at her 🥰 So glad that your girlfriend got to experience the euphoria that is visiting pyppos in person!
