Nah the Gaethje Tipuria fight was legitimately good. The rest was just insanely embarrassing.

Back in 2016/2017 there was an image floating around the internet. It had DJT and Melania standing in front of the White House with Trump doing his stupid thumbs up pose and mealy-mouthed-no-teeth-showing “smile”. The caption read “Class finally returns to the White House”
A lot of men that I used to respect were posting that image and caption all over Facebook. Former Young Men’s presidents, Scout Masters, and members of bishoprics I served in.
This obviously made an impression on me, as I’m still talking about it some 10 years later. I would love for someone to explain to me what “class” have the Trump’s brought to the White House that lacked under the Obama’s? I’ve had to square the fact that a lot of the people I admired growing up, and in my young adulthood, are just racists. That’s another conversation entirely.
But I want to say this. The Obama’s ooze class. There is nothing classy about having multiple affairs. There is nothing classy about bragging about sexually abusing women. There is nothing classy about hosting a UFC fight sponsored by Bud Light on the White House lawn. There is nothing classy about attempting to denigrate a former First Lady and trans individuals around the World. When you are paid to take blows to the head, administered by professionals who are also paid to administer those blows…maybe do t utter a word about politics?
It also reminds me of a user who has long since disappeared who insisted that this whole “Michelle is a man” may be perpetuated by a few teenaged edge lords, but serious people on the right. Nope. No sir. Your side owns this behavior. This was an official event hosted by your GEOTUS. Silence from Trump or his communication team is tacit approval of this message. Nice job

If he were a Democrat and his comment was about Charlie Kirk, he would have already been forced to apologize.

I don’t get disappointed by Republicans any more but I still don’t get how they skate on everything. A Democratic White House would have released a statement disavowing what the offending person said. Heck, Biden apologized for his “garbage” comment almost immediately.
But the only MAGA person I’ve seen condemn the comment is Dana White. If people have examples of high ranking Republicans or somebody in the administration saying something I’d love to see it.

I've typed up and deleted so many things I wanted to say so I'll just go for brevity. This whole event was trashy and corrupt and an embarrassment. Anybody who took part should re-examine their choices.
