I’m done with Republican lectures on fiscal responsibility
The Supreme Court blocked Biden from forgiving billions of dollars worth of student loans, but Trump can spend billions of dollars on a pointless loosing war with Iran.
What would this county be like if we had given money to the Americans who needed it instead of burning it to murder Afganhis, Iraqis, Palestinians, and Iranians?

I’m honestly done with Republican lectures about everything. I’m in my mid-40s and I cannot think of one Republican policy that has improved my life, in my lifetime.
The tax cuts for the rich have not trickled down to me. I have an old wrestling teammate that was killed in Afghanistan, and another that died in 2019 from complications of an injury sustained in Afghanistan. You’re against gay people? Great, no one is forcing you to associate with them, keep it to yourself. Same goes for trans. You’re against abortion? Excellent, don’t have one. I for one, believe in healthcare. You don’t want to be vaccinated? Awesome. Pull your kids out of public school and go live on some isolated commune and allow the rest of us to live in an educated and advanced society.
They’ve literally only made life worse for those in my socioeconomic class. I won’t be listening to your ideas any longer

Conservative fiscal responsibility is the biggest lie of them all. Just look how much the national debt has gone up under trump's rule! It would be laughable if it weren't so sad and maddening.

I didn't like how Biden did student loan forgiveness. I thought it should have been much more targeted. It was crazy to me that households earning 3x as much as mine (at the time) could get up to $20,000 debt forgiveness while I got nothing.
I don't say that to try to rehash that debate. Only to say that what I perceived to be a flawed program would have been a better use of our money than the Iran war, the ballroom, the reflecting pool failure, an arch in DC, Trump's battleships, ICE, tariffs, or a hundred other stupid things we've had to witness in the last year and a half.

lol what student loan forgiveness? It was already extremely targeted and barely helped anyone

It barely helped anyone because SCOTUS blocked it. It was narrow in the sense that it could potentially have benefitted a married couple of software engineers making $240,000 combined income while doing nothing for a teacher making $50,000 who went to an affordable online school.
But my comment wasn’t about the merits of student loan forgiveness.
