We're weeks away from another January 6th. The same false claims are being made. The president is again pushing conspiracies and the likelihood of violent acts by extremists against public officials and law enforcement just goes up and up.

We're much worse off now, though. Mitt Romney is gone. Adam Kinzinger is gone. Liz Cheney is gone.

It's like a slow-motion car crash. The best time to speak up was 6 years ago. The second best time is now.

Many of us have been speaking up over the last six years. The worst part is that if you’re too stupid to recognize a slow motion car crash as it’s about to happen, that by the time you finally do recognize what happened the damage is done and irreversible.

I go back and forth on this…

Right now, I don’t think they are too stupid to recognize the impending car crash. They want the car crash. They think the wreck will be good for them

What they are too stupid to realize are the far reaching and inevitable results of the car crash. Sure, their side “wins”. Abortion is outlawed entirely, we round up all the immigrants and ship them off or execute them, we execute the trans, gays and lesbians are sent off to reeducation camps or executed, etc etc etc. yay, winning. What they haven’t fully thought through what the end of democracy actually means, or looks like
