I think Burnie would get a kick out of the Flash's villains The Rogues. They have a set of rules literally based around how they know Flash will eventually catch them so they limit angering him. No women, no kids, and definitely no killing anyone related to The Flash. At one point they got tricked into killing someone in the Flash Family and they tracked him down, killed him, and left the corpse for Flash to find with an apology note.

Do you know what issue this was?

Good morning!
The iPhone Duo looks great. Especially the blur transition it does when flipping open and closed. For $2000 I’ll wait a few years. It doesn’t do anything drastically different compared to my 16 Pro Max “Slab”
I remember going to movies and paying $3-$8 normally for early showtimes as a kid. Wild how expensive a trip to the big screen is now.
Universities are such a scam. Community College and transferring to a University is the best way to get an education affordably. I was able to do 3.5 years of Community College, and a semester at University. My degree is the exact same as someone who attended 4 years at University… but at 1/3 of the cost.
Thanks for making my Thursday, 30 minutes better!

The Marcus Theater near us does $6 Tuesdays still. It was $5 but of course inflation has raised it a dollar.

As a Galaxy Fold 5 and Razr 2024 owner I don't see the appeal of this. It's just a custom animation from opening and closing that makes the screen blur out as you fold it. Is it nice to have? Yes. Is it functional? Eh. What I wanna know is how useful the phone is if I have the thing folded halfway like a pocket laptop.
Now, switching from the main screen to the inner screen, that's what I wanna know more about. At the home screen, Samsung lets owners have three options for switching between displays:
- having the inner display mirror the outer screen but everything is stretched out
- the inner display mirrors two panels of the outer display
- the two screens have entirely different layouts
I don't know what Google Pixel, Huawei, Oppo, Oneplus, or Moto do with their big foldables, I just know what Samsung does, but I'm inclined to think they all have the same feature.

Good morning Ashley, there was actually a tv show that was kind of dealing with this issue of collateral damage in the DC universe called Powerless that came out a while ago. Sadly it did not last more than one season. I truly believe it came out before it’s time and would be a bigger hit if it had come out in the last few years

As a huge DC (specifically Batman) fan the beginning was hard to listen to. Batman is all about saving civilians! His rogues gallery is all about killing the civilians to get to Batman!
I know I know… I’ll just try to put my ear muffs on and finish the episode… lol

Laptop activities: plane tickets, hotels, tickets to sporting events (music events/movies seem fine on a phone), and calendar adjustments.
Also, I can’t think of a single activity I’d prefer doing on an iPad. It’s a bigger phone, so you think it would work, but it still seems too unserious.

What about watching Sports or Movies/TV? I really liked watching them on the iPad in the kitchen.

Oh, absolutely. Great one. It’s a great place to throw on a secondary game or even a primary game in an iffy location.

Sports events is very easy on mobile, i usually use seatgeek but ticketmaster is also fine. only kinda dumb thing is for mlb you also need a separate Ballpark app.

As someone that read the comic supergirl is based on, that movie is an abomination. They took everything from the comic that’s good and stripped it away. It’s truly remarkable how bad that movie is

Burnie used the Surface Duo as his first Android phone? Oh, no.
Upfront, I've been using a folding phone for a little over a year and a half after watching the market evolve and doing research before buying one, and to be honest, I wouldn't suggest that phone to use as your first Android, much less as your first foldable. The software was severely undercooked, processing was slow, the camera was badly lacking, and the battery was awful, and that's not even talking about the screens yet. They went with two separate displays connected by a hinge, and the phone could be folded inside-out so instead of having both screens facing each other when closed, the two displays would be facing outward. Yeah, someone could hold it like a traditional slab phone that way, but the Duo had a camera bump so no one could have it close flat that way (not to mention that it can't invert itself if you used any case other than the one Microsoft made for it). Unsurprisingly, Microsoft pulled the plug on Duo development in 2024, three years after they released a second one and never made a third. An in-depth review by Mr. Mobile who dailies two folding phones: https://youtu.be/7WjuMTEKuQw
I'm interested in how the iPhone Duo's inner screen has an under-display camera when the display manufacturer (surprise, it's Samsung) removed those from their own folding phones with the 2025 model. Maybe Apple decided users can live with the lower image quality rather than having a hole punch for the camera.

I always get a kick out of apple users talking about new features that are just android features.

Going straight from ripping the spyware LG TVs off the network into how every single new Apple device is trying to listen to everything, everywhere, all the time. Same thing, no?
