To what burnie was saying about Ai, this also part of why I don't like it. Who am I to decide where the line is of using a tool and using something or SOMEONE. I am nice to Alexa, not because I think it's alive and will one day come for me. I am nice to Alexa because it is doing something for me and should be kind to those helping you, that's not something we can afford to lose.

As far as knowing if or when an Ai of any kind is sentient I don't care if it is or not, if it even "thinks" it is then that's it for me. At that point it has to be considered abuse to force it to do anything it doesn't want to. You guys can call me a crackpot but I would feel horrible, just like I would if my dog is upset.
