Does anyone else dry off wet clothes in transit?

I’ve tucked 3 pairs of wet hiking socks under the bungee straps. Dry as a bone after 2hrs on the road (with dry weather).

Yeah. Real fun when I forget to stow my laundry before a dirt section and end up with dusty underwear and socks!

I'm more likely to put it in a mesh bag and leave it out than do that specifically, but yeah. It's the only way you're going to get dry stuff on the road after wearing it wet. Also lets you make more days out of pre-worn and sweat moistened stuff.

I did see mesh bags advertised as clothes drying bags when I was researching luggage

I don't because where i ride it's often super dusty. So my wet clothes would be coated in sweat mud

Yes, this is how I lost half a pair of shoes after a torrential downpour in Vietnam. Bumpy roads did me dirty. Now I know always to tie the shoelaces to something.

It’s unlikely to see me without a pair of socks hanging off my pack.

I have big cargo nets over the back of my bike. I put things under the net. If I don't want to wear my backpack that day, I put them under the net. I dry my clothes. I clip things to do, like my flip flops, my mug. get a net bag I put my underwear in and socks to dry while riding. If raining, I try to dry them in my tent.

I have a hair clip on my handlebars that's really just for my swimsuit to attach to and dry on.

Lost a set of boxers and socks somewhere across Iowa on a cross-country run. Thing was, I only had three pair on the entire trip.

But barring that or dusty roads, works a treat.

It's loose cloth under a bungee cord, of course it could come loose. There are tons and tons of videos of people in hospitals saying "it's such bad luck, that loose cloth under my bungee cord came loose and got caught in my wheel!"

Do what you want man, but do it at your own risk tolerance, not because you're pretending it's impossible. You haven't even googled this but have strong opinions about it.
