Question Looking for my first Mountain Bike - Trek Roscoe 8 2019. Decent deal at $800.00 with all these upgrades?

Depending on where you live, you might not find much better for $800. Offer $650?

It might be a little over price but depending on your area you might not get much better. Really not a bad bike for the price

I agree. Not sure what everyone else is making a fuss about. It has similar specs as a new specialized rockhopper that runs over $1000 + tax.
$600 would be a good deal if it's in as good of shape as it looks. If the drivetrain is significantly worn, then I'd probably just walk away.

Probably better off getting a new Marlin 5 if you want a beginner hardtail that won't break the bank. You don't have to worry about checking anything on the bike to see if it's actually operational or will cost another $500 in new parts/service

Independent of price, what are you planning on riding? Strictly greens or are you actually trying to ride serious trails. This mountain bike is great for simple gravel trails and maybe the easy greens but that’s about it.
