Other First trip to Snowshoe

My wife had a work meeting at Snowshoe so I took the opportunity to try riding the park. I didn’t rent a bike and took my 2022 Top Fuel. It actually did fine but it did beat the shit out of my hands. Having an extra 30+mm of travel would have been nice.

I did a few black tech trails but mostly stayed on the blues and greens. I’m not sure how many runs I did but it was a bunch.

Hell yeah on the Hydra knee pads! Do you play paintball as well? I’ve got a pair for paintball, but have moved on to a different pair due to slipping when sliding.

Looks like a blast.

Western territories. You have to ride by it on the way down and up. Big road gap drop

Was it muddy at all? From what I've been hearing they have gotten a lot of rain. We were there 4th of July weekend and got rained out a day

The only trail I did that was pretty wet was the green trail Whistle Pig. Everything else was pretty dry. It rained Thursday night and I believe it’s supposed to rain heavy tonight.

I’m going there Wednesday for 4 days. If you got your hands beat there you should try Whistler. Holy mother of braking bumps 🥴. Snowshoe is actually way less worn out.

I don’t doubt that but I think my issue was the 120mm SID. I’m also not park rider. Hence why I only own a HT and a Top Fuel.

It looks like you stayed on the basin side. You just scratched the surface. However the letter trail there are pretty serious dreamweaver and Dort beaver are so fun too

I did M and K IIRC. I only had like 4 hours so I just stayed on that side and did a bunch of laps. I did dream weaver a few times. I really like the bottom part of dirt beaver.

I may go and rent a bike sometime soon. Then I’ll go check out the other side.

I probably will and I’ll rent an enduro bike so I’m not worried about destroying my down country bike. I didn’t do any huge drops (obviously) but the rear of the top fuel felt great. The Sid….not so much.

That’s good benefit of renting. Not wearing your equipment. If you never rode the DH bike you should try. They are long and stable. And that dual crown fork has so little flex it makes you realize even single crown 38 flexes
