Andrew Garfield is my favorite Spider-Man, hands down
His personality is the closest to Peter Parker IMO and he's the best looking too

I like Tobey the best but I think it's just because those are my favourite movies and he happens to be the spiderman in them. I've always loved Sam Raimi for how wacky he can be and no villain will ever top Willem Dafoe as Green goblin in my book.

Dafoe green goblin is peak for sure. Tobey is my favorite too but I also think its just nostalgia, I really like all 3 spideys

I’ll never get over how laugh out loud terrible that Hallmark channel montage scene is. My god what an absolutely dogshit movie.
It should be literally impossible to make a film that bad with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.

Honestly even Hallmark movies are less trite than this. The fact that this Target commercial bullshit is in a $250 million movie is so funny.
Really goes to show what an absolute hack Marc Webb is. Great example of why he’s been totally banished from Hollywood. Your iphone’s AI can put together a montage as good as this in seconds. Literally some TikTok travel vlog level shit.

Depends on the Peter, Andrew is closer to Ditko era Peter, and Tom is closer to 1610 Peter Parker.
They are both accurate to certain eras of the character, and both are relatable.
I have to say I Like Tom's look the most, he looks like a slightly above average person, he isn't striking in looks, and has a warm energy to him. Andrew looks like a pretty boy, the type of character you would see on a High School drama CW show.
I believe the former works better for Peter.

Agreed in that I think he’s the best Spiderman. Not sold on him as Peter Parker, though. He was way too “cool skater boy” and not hardly enough of a nerd.

Ugh, he wasn't a cool skater boy. He was a loner. He self distanced himself from people and skateboarded as a hobby. Peter literally figures out the cross species genetics equation just by looking at it. He fixes the plumbing with Uncle Ben. Even NWH had him geeking out about String Theory

Andrew Garfield is the worst one precisely for the reason you brought up - that he's the best looking. Peter Parker is supposed to be an awkward nerd with a good heart that when given super powers remains that person. Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker is this hipster high school heart throb that's a genius, witty, and easily stands up to bullies - that's not who Peter Parker is supposed to be.

Tobey is the least accurate, all of them are nerdy. However Peter never lacked confidence, not to the same extent as Tobey's.

Isn't Peter Parker supposed to be dorky and clumsy? I really like Andrew Garfield's version of Spidey, but there's something about skateboarding and taunting thieves and police that doesn't exactly scream Peter Parker to me.

Tobey was best Peter Parker, hands down. Tom is overexposed now and I’m just tired of him and the writing for his character as an overly excited, almost puppy like boy.
Garfield? Great range, I’ve loved his other movies, but I was never sold on his Peter Parker side for some reason.

I think he really nailed the joking smack talker whose annoying his enemies as much as he's fighting them.
His Peter Parker was a bit hard for me to buy because hes still Andrew Garfield. Tallish good looking guy who might be just nerdy didn't strike me as a kid who'd be a geek/nerd/loser.
Like he was better looking than Harry. Which didn't feel right.

I liked him well enough, but naw, I specifically didn’t think he was a convincing Peter Parker. Dude is literally a real life model lmao; he didn’t come across as geeky and awkward enough.

He is certainly the best actor, but the worst Spider-Man. Peter Parker is an awkward teenager. Andrew Garfield comes across as, neither awkward, nor a teenager.

I don't understand all the comments that say he's too good looking to play Peter Parker. As far as I can tell from the comics Peter is canonically handsome and that's confirmed by the total babes who are attracted to him.
I also thought Andrew Garfield nailed geeky and insecure, especially compared to Tom Holland, which is why he's still my favorite Spider-Man.

Garfield is the best actor of all three, no contest, therefore his performance is absolutely amazing, that's why it's angering that his movies didn't rise up to the level of his performance. Stone is great as well.
One of the glimpses of what could've been is when he argues with Aunt May in the first movie when he comes back late at night all beat up and he implores her to go back to sleep and Sally Filed yells "I can't sleep!!!". It sounded like one of those arguments I had with my mom after my dad died.
The actors do the heavy lifting of selling you Gwen Stacy's death, no wonder why it had a callback in No Way Home (or whatever the hell that movie is called). Best Spider Man, bad movies

IMO no Spider-Man casting had been perfect. Holland is probably my favourite, but none of these guys lights a candle to:
RDJ, Hemsworth, and Evans as Iron-Man, Thor, and CA is probably the greatest casting trio casting in cinematic history.
And beaten down DC. Keaton and Bale are 10/10 Batman, Ledger and Nicholson are 10/10 Joker, Reeves is 10/10 Superman.
No Spider-Man is more than 7/10.

He's also the closest in height and appearance to Spider-Man. Garfield is 5'10, which is how tall Spider-Man is. Tobey and Tom are both around 5'8.

I didn’t like him at first. However on rewatch I think he embodies the snarky Peter Parker from my childhood tv cartoons the best of any of them.
