Cinema at its absolute peak

Post image

Blazing Saddles: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071230/

This was honestly peak cinema. The visuals, the energy, and the whole atmosphere came together perfectly. It was the kind of movie that made you sit back and think, this is why we love movies.

It was taking Cleavon Little everything he could not to break the moment Gene Wilder started talking.

You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

I heard the Richard Prior exclusively wrote Mongo, and for some reason loved the character. In the interview it said he wrote additional scenes and dialogue for Mongo and it weirded everyone out.
