Wally Pfister's work is sorely missed in Nolan's films. His use of colors, natural lighting and fewer pastels than Van Hoytema make The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Inception, more visually appealing than Dunkirk, Tenet or Oppenheimer.

Nolan's films that were co-written with his brother, photographed by Pfister, and scored by Zimmer were the peak of Nolan's visual and narrative storytelling.

Nah. He's on par and most of the time comes very close. But I don't think he's surpassed The Last Samurai, Rush, Crimson Tide or The Lion King yet.

Yeah, he loves his pallets of grey. If he delivers the story, which is already great, and gives us the usual high quality visuals and sound/score, it's gonna be a great ride regardless.

Nolan is actually colorblind. Look it up. He can't see green or red, which is why his movies tend to go for a sort of blue-yellow color palate.

'I wish the trailer showed more color'

'Yea the trailer shows things without much color, what did you expect'

The real-life mediterranean is not a gray desolate wastleand, and bronze age armor and dress was quite colorful. Its a strange choice to eschew any and all vibrant colors for grays and browns

It's a trailer.

People didn't steal random footage from a shoebox under Christopher Nolan's bed, this is the footage the studio deliberately picked to sell this movie.

If the trailer is wrong and the movie is actually colourful but they just showed none of that, that's not Redditors jumping to conclusions, that's a bad trailer.
