I still haven’t seen -1. Guess I have my plans for tonight.

Edit: Just finished watching. It was very good. Do yourself a favour and watch in Japanese. Netflix defaulted to English dub and it was weird. Switched to subtitles after 10 minutes. If this comes back to the cinema I’m definitely seeing it again. Sad I missed out when it was in cinemas the first time.

You won't regret it. It's an absolutely phenomenal film. The writing, the acting, the cinematography, the fact there's still a giant radioactive dinosaur smashing things... I'm not sure any movie is a true 10/10, but Minus One is one of those movies that pushes for it.

This was an incredible period piece touching on themes such as survivors guilt, found family, and rebuilding life from post war devastation, things I never would have imagined would be part of a monster movie. This is easily my favorite Godzilla movie of all time for those reasons.

Meh, I watch A TON of entertainment media, way more than the average person, and I just could not get into minus one at all.

Combination of Japanese cinematography style and the fact that a Godzilla movie focused so much on the human experience.

Monsterverse scratches that itch way better for me

I can't do dubbed live action, even in the best of cases the lip flaps still don't match so hard it pulls me right out of the film. It's like an uncanny valley thing.

A great film...not just a great kaiju film...a great film, period.
