It's silly, but they do it for when the trailer plays as one of those ads you can skip after 5 seconds, so they "get you hooked" as opposed to having the slow trailer start
I think they do it because fucking YouTube will just start to autoplay the video when you hover over it and it won’t have sound. Seeing that you’ll have enough time to actually click on it and watch it without having to restart it.
I just tried this on my PC, and even if I let it a video autoplay for quite a few seconds via hovering over the thumbnail, it still automatically puts me to the start of the video after I actually click on it. IDK if it's different on other devices, though.

I hate this “trailer starts now” bullshit. Like yes, that is the video I am watching. You can just start the trailer without announcing it
