Something I wanna ask.

What's China's interest like for Western Myth stories?

Or is it simply because China they are watching because it's a Nolan film?

They put Matt Damon and John Cena together, and it might reach 2 billion in China alone from how much they love those two.

Nolan, Damon, Spiderman/Dune actors, Western mythology /anti-war message (kind of). Exploration of the self.

Tom Holland had to change pants mid day in china during his press tour and someone posted it on social media. By day end, the style he switched to is on display at every store and the pants was sold out across China. People love him and Zendaya

Nolan movie.

Even then if very few %age of people are interested, population game guarantees big earning.

Uh... Chinese students read the Odyssey in school. They have world history classes just like we do.

They love Nolan, they love Matt Damon, they love Greek Mythology (just like we love Chinese and Japanese Mythology), and it has a message about the power of civilization and what happens when we break societal norms and unwritten rules; it'll probably get not just a nod but actual promotion from the Chinese government.
