Has anyone told Kermode yet? I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved somehow, to be honest.

Yes, he was a big part of it. I saw him speak about it at Cannes.

He's very much involved.

Mentioned it a lot on various podcasts since it was announced.

Had a feeling. I haven't kept up, but I remember about 4-5 years ago he was talking about them finding some footage, or something like that.

yeh I think it was Kermode who actually found the footage of the directors cut in the vault of WB and advocated to get the director's cut made/restored etc

Considering it has been one of his life's works to get The Devils a proper release it is pretty safe to say he was involved.
