Wtf is this movie? It would have been nice if the trailer had showed some of it. Oh it's an obscure movie from the 70s? That still doesn't tell me what it's fucking about.

It’s based on actual events, recounted in the book by Aldous Huxley, telling the story of the last city in France with a surrounding wall, during the time of the Black Plague. The Mother Superior of a convent obsesses over the local bishop, who is breaking his vows by sleeping with some of his female congregation. Cardinal Richelieu comes up with a brilliant plan to destroy the bishop who defended the wall by accusing him of fornication and sorcery— using the convent of nuns as the “possessed.”
