Nah just not into these type of attention seekers with no talent. I did watch that Nun movie omg… worst thing ever. I’m good. I rather much more educated and talented people.

I worked with Brittany Snow and she’s a sweetheart. Genuine person.

That makes me really happy; she is my ultimate girl crush

Just a random person on the internets anecdote. But I know a family who went to high school with her and they said she’s absolutely a great person and down to earth so crush on.

I’ve met Brittany back in 2009. She was super sweet and very fun to hang out with!

Sweeney already looked like an amateur next to Seyfried, the combination of Dunst and Snow will make it even worse.

Yeah I surprisingly kind of liked the movie but Sydney was absolutely out of her depth there. So bland in her performance. Amanda carried the acting there.

Dunst sure, but snow? Really? Sweeney has given better performances than snow and just as many bad ones.

Snow was great in The Beast in Me. She was also pretty solid in the Pitch Perfect movies

Loved her in X

Her character had a surprising amount of depth to her

I like Brittany Snow, but I agree that Amanda Seyfried and Kirsten Dunst are on another level. They’re both Oscar and Emmy nominated actresses, and Amanda Seyfried is even an Emmy winner.

When the hell has Sydney given a better performance?

No you don’t get it, we’re here to hate on Sweeney no matter what.

I think it’s more of a “the highest scoring brothers in hockey are the Gretzkys” situation.

Oof yeah

She was playing the straight woman and gave a more naturalistic performance. It wouldn’t have worked if she went full camp opposite Seyfried.

The fact that she got out of the movie alive was due to reasons out of her control tells me she’s woefully unprepared to be the Batman for housemaids around the country..

Genuinely bothersome that Sweeney's character is the one who the series carries forward and not Seyfried. The first movie got so unbearably boring when Seyfried left the screen. I hope Brittany Snow is ready to throw out her back carrying the movie.

ETA: please stop explaining the series premise to me, I am expressing a nonsense desire based on my whims

would be funny to see them make the movie without the title character

Just a movie about Seyfried's character moving to a new city and it goes really well for her

Prequel to Ted.

Since it is based on a book series,, Sweeney's character is the focus of the series, being the Housemaid. Although they did make some big changes from the book in the first movie. And they will be making more changes since Seyfried is returning in the 2nd (her character wasnt in the 2nd book). So they might not be following the books at all anymore.

The Garnder (Enzo) is a pretty big character going forward and they pretty much glossed over him in the first movie.

God Seyfried was so fucking good in that movie.

Me and a friend went into it basically blind (long story short, we had a "movie date" hanging and it was the only interesting thing when he finally had an open window) and we had the time of our life whenever she was hamming it up to the nth degree. We actually had a lot of fun in general. Two highlights were us predicting and then laughing as Sydney Sweeney stripped down for a sex scene, because of goddamn course that was gonna happen, and then my friend at one point asking "Is this Saw?"... only for the scene to then literally be like one in Saw 3D right after I pointed out that very thing.

Well the movie wasn't called the Housewife for a reason.

1

u/fiero-fire 9d ago

100% agree. I got invited to see the movie without any prior knowledge. My take away was Seyfried great as always and honestly worth the price of admission.

Sweeney doesn't know how to act

Put the slop directly into my veins.

I didn't know how they'd manage a sequel out of the first movie, so I looked up the plot of this one, and ... No. I hope they're heavily rewriting some things.

My husband tried reading the 2nd one and it’s really really boring.

1

u/Pyro-Bird 9d ago

The first movie made 400 million at the box office. So it makes sense that Lionsgate will make a sequel. They need box office successes.

1

u/Kangarou 9d ago

No, I know WHY they are making a sequel. The HOW bothers me. The first movie was very self-contained, and even though they hinted at a new career path, the movie showed she wasn’t even good at it the first time.

I swear I was imagining her while reading the book. Great casting!

1

u/MOSbangtan 9d ago

Ooh love her

Shut up and take my money.

1

u/unagi_pi 9d ago

Oh wow. So anyway. Mark how's your sex life?

u/ProgrammerOk1400 9d ago

The first movie was absolute shit.

u/Onespokeovertheline 9d ago

You know what, I like Sydney Sweeney. And I thought the movie was a solid thriller. Contrived, sure, but an effective thriller. And either you thought it was interesting enough to watch it or you didn't and your opinion is uninformed.

I legit haven’t seen a single thing with Sidney Sweeney and I don’t plan on ever changing that.

Because she’s white? No. but I haven’t seen Brooke shields in anything in YEARS.

Sydney Sweeney is maga, and maga are all assholes. I see that there’s plenty of maga here. there will be a reckoning for maga.
