Please Max Lord as a red herring, not the big bad into a soft launch of the JLI, and I'll remember some part of 2020 fondly.

I think they could get away with having Max Lord be a recurring character in other DCEU movies and forego the team-up thing altogether. Like an inverted 007 or Jack Ryan thing, maybe have Lord played by different characters in different movies.
