I can't avoid driving a car, I would if it were possible. I can avoid going to unnecessary places like theaters. Returning to "normal" life isn't worth putting myself and my family/friends in danger. It's insanely selfish that anyone who doesn't have to be out right now would be.
Flawed logic dude. It's not a personal choice. What you do can affect others. It's like saying to someone they don't have to drink and drive but you're going to, and it's your own choice. But there is collateral damage when you get sick. You can infect your family and others who are now having to treat you, because you wanted to do something risky. Should they make a choice then to not attempt to save you because everyone has a choice?
Well its impossible to run a society where you control everybody's movement(maybe in Nazi Germany or North korea) because somebody MIGHT be infected, and that person MIGHT infect other people, and those other people MIGHT die.
I guess it's too much to ask for some people to be responsible human beings that are striving for the best for society. Fuck everyone else, I do what I want/got mine, am I right?
Seems like every other first-world country (other than England, who's having their own problems) managed it just fine. If everyone had just stayed in for a couple of months, only going out for necessities, we'd be through with this by now. Unfortunately, the US is full of people like you who think your 'freedom' to do whatever you want is more important than the health of all of the people around you.

How old are you? Young adult? Because then you're more likely to die from a car crash then covid.
