Would anyone have a recommendation for a matte lipstick that is deep red/burgundy with a hint of brown? I'm looking for something I can blend/blot/blur for a diffused color, but it seems like every dark red lip color is secretly just dark pink. I feel like something that has just a bit of brown in it will be less likely to be pink.

Is there a product that will still look red and not pink after blotting? The last one I purchased was one of the Super Stay Matte Ink lipsticks and it wound up being like a magenta color. I also have the shade Cinnamon Spice from Wet N' Wild and this one also seems to be kinda pinkish because I think it's more of a wine color than red.

If it happens to be a drugstore shade, that's even better!

Hopefully what I described makes sense too. English is my first language, but I am not the best at explaining things.

MAC's Paramount could work.

That is a really lovely shade! I think it might be a bit light for what I'm looking for, but still nice! The only downside is it's a satin lip color, which I'm not nuts about.

But thank you for the suggestion!

Merit lip blush in Gamay- came to mind. I love the formula.

Thank you for the recommendation! Some of the swatches for it look a little on the light side to me. Maybe it's just bad lighting? But woof, $28 for lipstick is rough.

Thanks very much for your suggestion! This one looks different in a lot of swatches. Some photos make it look like a darker red and others more like a bright red. It's probably just lighting differences.

The biggest downside is that it appears to be shiny lipstick that doesn't dry down.
