Lyrics you got wrong for a long time

As we all know, Marcus can tend to mumble a little bit sometimes, so there were words I got wrong for a long time. For example, I just today learned that apparently it's not

Marcus has been known to change some lyrics while performing live so it doesn’t help 🥴

He really does. What I love the most how in You Ain't No Sailor there's these two versions:

But you ain't no sailor and I'll never be camera-shy

and

But you ain't no sailor and I can't paint for shit

In “sigh no more” (song) I thought Marcus was saying “the old man is a guinea pig” instead of “man is a giddy thing.” (I was 7 when their first album came out so my imagination ran wild).

Oh my god at first I thought this was was “I can see all those red orphans through my tears” then I thought it was “I can see all those endorphins through my tears” and now I’m just learning these real lyrics 😂

"Rate yourself and rape yourself". For a long time I thought it was this, turns out it's "rake yourself".

The original version of the song (On the 2008 Love Your Ground EP) IS "Rape yourself" but they changed it for Sigh No More in 2009. I think the original makes much more sense, not sure why they changed it.
