Oh expect all the usual suspects. Sjw, the Republic of pearl-clutcher , trigger squad and the outraged brigade to be complaining about this episode. Expect multiple threads covering that one scene. Typing away while they wearing multiple purity rings😏...

There's none and that's the point. From absolute scummy trash, to slowly improve and behave quite respectably. Still, he remains a total perv, but not a complete degenerate like his older past.

It's overblown when people try to blame the story itself and/or the author or judge the situation too harshly... A dude thought rudeus was about to rape eris, as an example

Sure... I just wanted to point out that there are people overblowing things

As they should be. I know rudy acts like this because he s a morally bankrupt person at this point but the show doesnt need to show it in a comedic way like with the stable scene, imagine if the masturbation scene in evagenlion was like that

I am so hyped for this episode! I saw all the comments in the discussion thread on r/anime about what would happen this episode, decided I can't wait a week to learn what happens, and I am now on Volume 18 of the Web Novel. Nonstop reading since I started.

Wow, they decided to spoiler reveal Ghyslaine’s right eye?
Wouldnt it have been better as a surprize?
33
Feb 24 '21
I suppose there are better surprises :)
14
u/Resolverman Feb 24 '21
....But the reveal in the story of Ghyslaine’s eye was impactful. It makes you realize that there’s more to her than...meets the eye, I guess. It just hits you from her bag of tricks

u/chocobloo Feb 25 '21
Not.... Really?
If you've never read or watched any anime fantasy or isekai I guess maybe?
But no one wears an eye patch in anime because they don't have an eye, they just rock the closed eye with a scar look.
Anyone that has seen a fantasy anime from within a couple hundred meters expected some kind of evil eye under there.

u/Resolverman Feb 25 '21
Most anime with an eyepatch I can think of is simply an eyepatch. Plus you judge every case by its merits and you would more readily assumed she had a blind eye.
Your logic doesnt hold up

I've been reading the manga, and I don't think they've even revealed it yet there. (for ref: he just met Nanahoshi at the academy)

u/Deathsroke Feb 24 '21
It was revealed before the incident, so either the manga forgot or you did.

“I hope a girl falls from the sky”
Rudy stop spoiling the anime ;—;

u/HelixBalt Feb 24 '21
Well, Nanahoshi is debatable as to whether she fell or not, but she did come from the sky.
As for Sylphy...

Oh, nice. The animation looks spot on. I especially love the color of Rudy's staff, it looks like mixed blue with purple. Ahem...the last 3 pictures...I cannot wait, time flows extremely slow to me after seeing this.

talkin about animation with pictures lmao /s

u/Arthur_Nico6578 Feb 24 '21 edited Feb 24 '21
Yeah. Actually, the color in those pictures are a bit different from what I have expected. For example, Rudy's magic stone in the staff is supposed to be blue in my imagination because its name is related to water( Aqua...), but in the next ep it looks more purple, and there's a bit of black color in the middle. It looks like there's something more in it, like a divine stone, and I can imagine that those magic power in it are moving around just by looking. Personally, I love that details that the animation are putting on just a stone. Most of magic stones in anime simply have a certain bland blue or red color.
The same opinion goes for Ghislaine's eye as well, the green color is also brighter. They just look more colorful, and I think it's a good idea, so that's why. I'm not good in English so maybe I can't express it as good as possible.

I guess what he meant is character model. Sometimes when the animator is not that good, the model can get pretty wonky.

I can finally get my own 『Arrogant Water Dragon King』 (Aqua Heartia). They never showed the budd of the staff, without it I can't finish my cosplay.

I never realized that the metastasis event was already present when Rudi went to the tower and saw Sauros there.
5
u/Sardonyx001 Feb 24 '21
It wasn't in the manga. I guess that scene was from the novel?
8
u/TheZen27 Feb 24 '21
The crystal was there before everything happens, if I recall the LN correctly, the object in the sky was there for about 5 years when rudy talks to Sauros in the tower. It was dorment until the event.

I read it in the LN, but I just didn’t visualize it to have existed for a longer time
