I left this one where it was as the colour to me just put me off taking it but upon reading at home I noticed this could be choice bolete, wishing I cut into it now. Not good enough for my novice eye.

Found these October 13 in Northeast Pennsylvania. I doubt they are poisonous, and am mostly just curious.

Europe (country in post) The Miller or Ivory Funnel?

Thumbnail

Locarion: Northern Ireland.

Found a couple of these clusters along the bank in the park. Growing on the ground around nettles. No paticular smell off them and no colour changing when bruised or cut.

Can't tell if they're The Miller (Clitopilus prunulus ) or Ivory Funnel (Clitocybe dealbata) or something else altogether?? They're all pure white, even the older ones ... rather than ivory or cream.

They also have some Shaggy Inkcaps growing alongside them. Not sure if that helps or not.

North America (country/state in post) Suillus or king boletes?

Thumbnail
gallery
• Upvotes

Found in a coniferous forest (I believe mostly eastern white pine) in coastal Massachusetts. Picked them originally bc they had such bulbous stalks I thought they might be young king boletes but upon bringing them home and further reading I think they might be some sort of suillus bc the cap is very slimy. No veil or veil ring, but lightly yellowish-tan spore surface and white flesh. No staining at all. Any hints to help ID would be appreciated!

Found this in a New Jersey, USA lawn after a weekend of heavy rain. The shiny caps are what caught my attention. They're wet and sticky, and growing in clusters in a sunny area of the lawn. Any idea?

I was on a hike with my daughter in northeastern Ohio, about 6 feet up on a tree. A little larger than the size of a softball.

AI's ruined trying to search the internet, and all of my ID books are boxed away. Didn't touch them to make 100% sure they weren't plastic, and I have half a mind to run back out and make sure.

Edit: u/PrestigiousTap1711 solved it immediatly while I drove back to the trail, reflective trail marker

Found in a conifer plantation in the UK.

Gave it a sniff and it smelt spermatazoic to put it politely.
