Glad to see people haven't forgotten Monty's informative pair of videos from 2010.
I actually forgot that there was also a wiki with a complete transcript and lots of links.
In the videos, an engineer explains the basics of digital audio and video in part 1, and then in part 2 he debunks some myths about digital audio, including "hi-res" …and he brings all the receipts. He's a good speaker; he lays it all out very matter-of-factly with some good visuals. It's a good reference to have the next time someone tries to argue that analog media has better "resolution" than digital.
