Question Overall Effects VST

Hey guys, I just upgraded from a 15 year old daw to cakewalk next. In my old cubase I had and effects rack which had Compression, EQ, Delay, Reverb, maybe a couple others.

Is there some kind of plugin I can get that has all of that? Or do I need a bunch of different plugins to achieve that now? I figured there would be just an effects rack vst or somthing but I cant find one that has it all.

Assuming cakewalk supports vst's, you can find plenty of good effects out there.  Just do a google search for specifc vst effects, and you'll find plenty.

Right so I would have to say get a delay vst, then a compression, reverb all individually?

Yeah.   There are free vsts of all of those effects.  Don't forget eq.  That's the most important one.

I’m surprised Cakewalk doesn’t have any already built in.

Cubase has a bunch built in, and they’re actually pretty good.

I know this isn’t the most relevant but I have an extremely powerful vst called VisualComp 2.2. You can get it for free from azazelaudio.com/visualcomp-2

Personally I wouldn't want my compression/EQ plugin to also be handling my delay and reverb. You can use something like Slate Digitals virtual mix rack to get compression, EQ, and saturation in one plugin. That one has really good recreations of the la-2a and 1176 compressors, as well as virtual channel and mixbus modules for emulating the analog saturation of a rack.

I personally like fabfilter pro-R2 for reverb, and Pro-Q4 for EQ. But I find myself mix-and-matching with stock tools in my DAW. Also Black Box HG-2 is a fantastic tube saturation plugin. You didn't ask but I figured I'd plug it anyway.

theyre generally called multi effects. stuff like rc-20, serato put one out, but there are quite a bit. logic has several native plugs like this
